Unofficial results from the May 6 election in Willard and Huron County are in, as reported by the county elections board.
A replacement levy for Willard Parks and Recreation passed 201-89 (69.31 percent-30.69 percent), according to final unofficial results. This 0.50-mill replacement levy proposal was for five years. Willard turnout was 8.7 percent.
Separately, voters in Huron County rejected 2,370-1,644 (59.04 percent-40.96 percent) a measure for Huron County Board of Mental Health & Addiction Services, according to the final unofficial results. This levy was a 10-year 0.5 mill replacement with a 0.5 mill increase -- bringing it to 1-mill.
Overall, Huron County's turnout was 10.86 percent. Polls across Ohio closed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
State Issue 2 to fund public infrastructure capital improvements by permitting the issuance of general obligation bonds was passing 67.78% to 32.22% with 97 percent of Ohio's vote in, the Ohio Secretary of State's office reported late Tuesday.
Two measures were submitted for Plymouth voters to address on May 6 when a cemetery renewal passed and a police levy failed, per final unofficial results:
-- Plymouth: property tax renewal - 1 mill, 5 years, commencing 2025, first due 2026 operating and maintaining the village cemetery. The vote was 37-26 in Richland County and 35-15 in Huron County.
-- Plymouth: property tax-additional - 2 mills, 5 years, for police. The vote was 35 against and 28 in favor in Richland County and 37 against and 13 in favor in Huron County.
