List: New London police calls (May 19-22)
May 22
3:56 p.m. Complainant reported repossessing a vehicle from an E. Main St. business.
1:56 a.m. Officer reported assisting squad personnel with an ill patient at a W. Main St. nursing facility. Patient was transported.
12:39 a.m. Officer responded to NLHS for a fire alarm. The premises was checked with the New London Fire Department, and it was determined to be a false alarm.
May 21
8:47 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along S. Main and Prospect St. for a registration violation. Warning given.
3:43 p.m. Officers responded to a N. Main St. residence for an active fight. It was determined two males had been involved in an altercation that resulted in injuries. A summons was issued for disorderly conduct/ fighting.
12:02 p.m. Officer on patrol observed debris in the roadway in the area of S. Main and Triangle Park. The officer provided traffic control while the sanitation department removed a large box of chicken wings that had scattered along the road.
9:46 a.m. An E. Main St. business reported a debit card had been left. The item was collected and notification with the owner was attempted without success. The item was logged into found property.
9:30 a.m. A W. Washburn St. complainant reported a parking violation along Grant and W. Washburn St. The vehicle was gone upon the officer's arrival.
9:21 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of N. Main and Biglow Pkwy. for a registration violation. Warning given.
5:24 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along E. Main and James St. for failure to obey a traffic control device. Warning given.
May 20
7:32 p.m. Officers responded to a W. Washburn St. residence for a possible disturbance. It was determined a resident was experiencing some mental health issues. Assistance was offered but declined.
4:43 p.m. An E. Fir St. complainant reported a dog at large in the area. The canine was captured and placed in the kennel.
4:40 p.m. Officer took report of juveniles being unruly and threatening each other. Both parties were advised to separate and their parents were notified of the incident.
2:10 p.m. A juvenile complainant reported receiving unwanted messages over social media from an acquaintance after a brief encounter at an Akron St. business. The two parties were advised to cease communication with each other.
10:54 a.m. A Windy Acres complainant wished to speak with an officer regarding another tenant acting aggressive toward her. Both parties were advised to cease contact with each other.
10:06 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along N. Main and Hooker St. for a registration violation. Warning given.
May 19
10:17 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop at a N. Main St. business for a marked lanes violation and passing in a no passing zone. Warning given.
