List: New London police calls (June 16-19)
June 19
2:54 a.m. Complainant requested a welfare check on a Williams St. resident. Officer attempted contact with the resident to no avail. No exigency was present and no further action was taken. The complainant was advised.
June 18
9:17 p.m. A Shadyside Ave. resident reported being harassed over social media by her ex-boyfriend. The incident was determined to be civil.
9:12 p.m. Officer on patrol located a large tree limb that had fallen along Park Ave. and New London Ave. The obstruction did not cause any property damage but was blocking a sidewalk.
5:42 p.m. Complainant reported a dog inside of a vehicle at a W. Main St. business. Upon the officer's arrival, the owner was present with the vehicle and the dog was found to be fine.
4:51 p.m. Officer reported conducting a vehicle lockout at an Aster Ct. address. A waiver was completed and entry was gained without incident.
4:30 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop along New London and Park Ave. for driving under suspension. Driving privileges were provided and the operator was released.
9:12 a.m. Officer reported conducting follow-up at a S. Main St. residence regarding a zoning violation.
1:11 a.m. A Pearl St. complainant reported someone possibly outside of her residence. The area was checked without anyone being located.
June 17
7:13 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along N. Main St. in the business district for speeding. Warning given.
June 16
8:14 p.m. Officers responded to the reservoir for report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, a female stated she had been threatened by a male with a gun after being involved in a dispute with another female over their kids fighting. She stated the man fled the area on a motorcycle. A bolo was sent out and the man was later able to be identified during the course of the ongoing investigation.
8:04 p.m. Officers were dispatched to an E. Main St. address for a neighbor dispute. The incident was resolved prior to officers being dispatched to another disturbance call.
7:30 p.m. An E. Main St. complainant reported a next-door tenant was stealing her mail. Officer spoke with the other party who denied taking the complainant's mail, stating their mail often gets bundled together.
6:38 p.m. Officers reported arresting a Shadyside Ave. resident on a secret indictment. She was transported to the Huron County Jail without incident.
6:29 p.m. Officer reported assisting squad personnel with an ill resident of a W. Main St. nursing facility. Patient was transported.
5:47 p.m. An E. Main St. complainant reported a juvenile was at her residence and had gotten lost after leaving the reservoir on foot. Contact was made with the child's guardian who picked her up.
3:45 p.m. An E. Main St. complainant reported being assaulted by an acquaintance. Case is pending investigation.
11:29 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along W. Main St. for a registration violation. Citation issued.
10:12 a.m. Officer reported assisting squad personnel with an ill N. Maple St. resident. Patient was transported.
9:55 a.m. Complainant requested a welfare check on an elderly E. Fir St. couple. Contact was made with the parties who stated they were fine. The caller was advised.
9:15 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop along N. Main and Cedar St. for driving under suspension. Citation issued.
